How Batch Pasteurization Works:
Heating:
The batch pasteurizer uses a jacketed vessel (a tank with a space between the inner and outer walls) to heat the product.
Steam or Hot Water:
Steam or hot water circulates in the jacket, heating the vessel walls, which in turn heats the product inside.
Holding:
The heated product is held at a specific temperature for a set period, ensuring effective pasteurization.
Cooling:
After the holding period, the product is quickly cooled to prevent further bacterial growth.
Emptying:
The pasteurized product is then emptied from the vessel for further processing or packaging.
